Calling any homeless hedgehogs

One bed, studio log home available, no chain involved, call around any time for viewings.

Good location (Zone 2) and near local amenities (good selection of restaurants and attractions; ie compost bins)

Work for your keep by catching slugs and bugs, that's the only catch!

We understand this is off-season for finding yourself a hibernation spot for the Winter, which is why we are flexible on the move in date.

...and the novices are now left on their own, all original gardeners have left the project, help will be sought!

It's just as well there were only two of us this Sunday....

We do our to-do's

This Sunday we had some assistance from Ian, a friend of Sally's, so they hacked up the old tomato plants (hello snails!) and I turned the compost (hello worms!).

I think a few more helping hands will be useful while we undertake some preparation work over the winter and I get a grip of all this gardening lark.

With the greenhouse now clear, next job is to clean it up and treat it kindly.

What I learnt

All this grow-your-own isn't about an immediate return. 

How I learnt it

All I came away with was some worms, green tomatoes and an insight to what rotting chilli's look like, not exactly a Sunday lunch.
